ENCLOSURES
Thank you very much for your letter of the 4th January. I had, of course, seen from the Press that you have returned from Hong Kong and an very glad to hear that you had a successful visit. I should very much like to have a talk with you when you are next in town, if you can spare the time.
I will certainly see whether anything can be done about your expenses and I will not overlook your reference to the 1.9 .'s who were visiting the Far sast. From previous experience, however, I am afraid I cannot hold out much hope of a refund of the excess of your actual expenses over the subsistence allowance.
Yours sincerely,
Sad. N.L.
Dayle.
